Malcolm Jones was on our Croatia trip this year and took some great photos.
Bee-eaters are not widespread in Croatia but we did get some great views at a colony.
We identified about thirty species of butterfly, including this Scarce Swallowtail.
A pair of Black-eared Wheatear had a nest by the rural restaurant we visited one evening. Here is the male bringing food.
The same bird, captured wonderfully in flight!
This Eastern Orphean Warbler gave great views.
Purple Heron at Vransko Jezero wetlands.
Black-winged Stilt in a lovely pose with reflection at the salt pans of Nin.
Painted Ladies were common.
Rock Partridges were seen regularly and we had great views of several.
