CROATIA ALBUM

2017

Malcolm Jones was on our Croatia trip this year and took some great photos.

Bee-eaters are not widespread in Croatia but we did get some great views at a colony.

We identified about thirty species of butterfly, including this Scarce Swallowtail.

A pair of  Black-eared Wheatear had a nest by the rural restaurant we visited one evening. Here is the male bringing food.

The same bird, captured wonderfully in flight!

This Eastern Orphean Warbler gave great views.

Purple Heron at Vransko Jezero wetlands.

Black-winged Stilt in a lovely pose with reflection at the salt pans of Nin.

Painted Ladies were common.

Rock Partridges were seen regularly and we had great views of several.

Please note: The above photographs were taken on previous trips. Itineraries change from time to time and therefore you cannot rely on these photographs as being an exact representation of what can be expected on a future tour. For details of the each tour, you should refer to the brochure write-up.
